Manteo – Part One

May 24, 2009

I went with a friend of mine from high school (Brandi) to visit another friend from high school (Jesi), who just happens to live in the lovely Outer Banks area of North Carolina.

As much as I love traveling, I seem to not own luggage tags. So I made these.

We had to fly out of Pittsburgh, into DC, then to Norfolk.

We got out of Pittsburgh just fine, but when we got to DC, it was storming. Our flight ended up being delayed by about an hour.

Brandi, happy to be on the plane.

The rain.

I thought the combination ATM/Shoe Shine was odd. This guy seems quite happy to be in a photo.

We were on one of those tiny express flights, so I had to check my bag (which I hate to do).

We ended up getting to Manteo around 2:00 in the morning, and were up until around 4:00 getting the air mattresses set up and talking. Well they were talking, I was coughing the entire trip. More on that one later.

Don’t you wish luggage tags were a form of identity?
